Treasures of Tanzania Safari
We love Africa! Over the years, we’ve taken our clients to Kenya, Botswana & Namibia. In 2019 we added safe & spectacular Tanzania to the list & the tour was so fantastic that by public demand we’re offering it again in 2023!
Tanzania has some of the most amazing wildlife viewing on the planet. On this customised tour we’ll be taking you to see the highlights, or ‘treasures’, of Tanzania including famous Serengeti National Park (the location for many wildlife documentaries & a favourite of Sir David Attenborough); Ngorongoro Crater; historic Oldupai Gorge; Mt Kilimanjaro (weather permitting we’ll see the peak!); stunning Tarangire National Park & more.
This magical eco-safari will be planned at peak viewing time for the annual wildlife migration - we hope to see elephant, lion, giraffe, hippo, wildebeest, gazelle, zebra, monkeys, cheetah, warthog, hyena, colourful birds - maybe even a leopard! - & more. Our adventure will begin & end in the town of Arusha in the north of the country - it has an international airport & is not far from Mt Kilimanjaro.
On this tour we'll be working closely with experienced tour company All Around Tanzania. You will travel in comfort, eat well & stay in quality lodging. You will be personally escorted & looked after by Jeremy Perks & Jan Barrie of Global Gypsies along with a delightful team of professional - and locally based - English-speaking guides.
Please note that this is NOT a self-drive or self-catering tour. The tour package includes transport by pop-top 4WD & light aircraft; quality accommodation in a combination of permanent tented camps, mobile bush camps & safari lodges; entry fees to national parks; most meals; guided game drives by wildlife experts; cultural activities; a well-paced itinerary including some leisure time; a Pre-Departure Workshop (held in Perth) & comprehensive Pre-Departure Kit. (International airfares are additional).

Prices of "tag-along-tours" are based on clients driving their own 4WD vehicle - hire 4WD vehicles can be arranged at special rates. Prices do not include air fare, hotel accommodation, hire vehicles, food, fuel, alcoholic beverages, or expenses of a personal nature.
